All The Same To Me - LSP2

Description
This demo was left off the album for the obvious reason that the album had too many songs that sounded exactly like this, and quite frankly the lyrics were weaker than the others (which would go on to become hit singles, so obviously the producer made the right choice). This recording is from the early stages of production on the album before the producer had fully settled on the final tracks, and as such only has rudimentary vocal and guitar work -- once can assume that, had it been selected instead of one of the numerous singles that were released off this album it would have been more polished...

All The Same To Me
Love the way you have panned the mix to extremes to left and right, very much a George Martin trait that he used with the Beatles mastering.
The song to me, has hints of the Cars as well, really enjoyed this piece John!

G-)

Apparently...
...hard panning to either side was something Roy Thomas Baker did a lot of, too. Listening to this album (as well as all those early Queen albums), for example...

:D
I wanted to subvert people's expectations, and The Jewels stuff is all single-based, so it was time to pull out one of The Episodes tracks and rework it to sound more like, well, this.

All The Same To Me
While I'll agree there wasn't room for this on their brilliant debut, there was certainly room for it on "Candy O!"

Yes...
... But they would've toned down the guitars in favor of more synths. :)

Picture
You had me going with the picture for about 3 notes and then I had to switch decades. Driving Pop a la Cars. Beat is very catchy, and chorus is just the kind of thing they would do. Thanks.

Cover is fixed...
...since most people have guessed correctly at this point, I'm now using the cover I originally created for it but didn't use since it's an obvious giveaway. :D
