Description
Another attempt to tackle my Viking history, and in this case especially the book of Kalevala... Turn up the volume please, it's a little low in the mix...

Lyrics
Rune XV

Now the mother seeks her lost one
For her son she weeps and trembles
Like the wolf she bounds through fenlands
Like the bear, through forest thickets
Like the wild-boar, through the marshes
Like the hare, along the sea-coast
To the sea-point, like the hedgehog
Like the wild-duck swims the waters

Tiny little bee, honey-birdling
Lords of all the flowers
Fly away and get me some honey
Bring me to thy sweetness

In the floods was born the serpent
From the marrow of the gray-duck
Cast it on the waves of ocean
Currents drove it outward
Then the mother of the hero
Rocked her son to comfort
Rocked him to his former being
To his former life and spirit

Tiny little bee, honey-birdling
Lords of all the flowers
Fly away and get me some honey
Bring me to thy sweetness

Pounding and soaring
I really like the bass line and thumping drums. The melodic guitar washes are also quite effective in producing an epic sense of scale—appropriate to the medieval poetry. This would be a tough one to master, but if you could tighten up the mix bit and even out the voices it would be a super heavy rocker!

Ambitious
but it works.

Loved the distant guitar which at first I thought should have been louder but no, it's fine as it is.

Cheers

The bass is killer! Thick and viscous. Ambitious arrangement. I love the distant guitar actually. Guitarists, myself included, have the tendency to put them too hot in the mix. This just right! Really complex build up to 3:00. Nice!

SOme nice arrangement love the bass lines in this and such a strong vocal performane the looseness in this makes it tight , if that makes sense it marches like a drunk bear in a mall aggresive guitars and everything :)
