Description
I started this a couple of weeks ago and picked at it ... began with a piano melody and played it with Kontakt's acoustic piano ... then added bass, addictive drums and some ambient guitar using guitar rig 5... added Kontakt strings. The main vocals I used waves ADT analogue tape with the double phased John Lennon style of vocal effect ... and... we'll... that's it!

Sweet Darkness
Struck me as a McCartney solo recording so the Lennon treatment of the vocal brought a smile. Great song man and really nice production.

This is good, Stan! The solid rhythm is enlivened by the various instruments that dip in and out, all sounding so fresh and vibrant. Interesting lyrics and engaging vocal style. Excellent!

Sweet Darkness
Super solid 70's sound, Stan - recorded a whole lot better. Big, warm, lush wash of sound with the JL style vocals working so well in the mix. Fine song. The drums and bass are just great, too. The whole package, really. Quality post. Thanks, Peter.

All the little tricks...
...seem to be working very well for you here. Yes, a by-gone style that still comes across with musical integrity. ... I wish you'd have posted the lyrics. I have idea what this song is actually about.

Really like the structure of the song
With that pop feel and cool vibe to go along. Nice break and Lennon effect. Vocals and message are spot on.

Stan, I love the way that you approach a mix - lots of headroom, fullness, yet no stress. I like this a lot, nice bass playing, by the way.
