For Robin

Description
I grew up watching your movies
a fellow Northern California boy

All I can feel is joy
that you finally ended your pain
like my mother ended hers
and my father ended his
and someday soon I will join you

I can see you beckoning me
from across the lake
but for now I think I will stay
I have a few more songs to finish
before I go

For now I can give you this song
before I'm gone
this is for you
Robin

A payment for the laughs
you gave me
But I'm not sure who I'm supposed to laugh at
with you gone

Lyrics
Improvised this song tonight after I heard about Robin Williams. I grew up watching his movies/comedy and I'm seriously bummed about it.

Good on you, hon.
I am crying right now because I feel the loss of this one of a kind human being. He can not be replaced. Your theme is full of life. It, perhaps, has a relentless cadence. None of us can control all we'd like to. But we have always had the ability to throw in the towel. Too bad our bodies are so frail and too bad that we can't muster a little faith in the future. Thanks.

Yes
I was crying for like 3 hours last night. Thank you. Wish I would have post produced this one more but it was an in the moment kind of thing. I agree our bodies frailty is what holds us back but that is also what drives us to create before our time is up.

For Robin
You have captured a sense of relentless turmoil beneath a facade of musical beauty. Nice work. Thanks, Peter.

a fine tribute, UB
Mr Williams was a great comedian, such a pity his personal life was so full of pain
enjoyed!

Yes I agree
Personally I loved his movies much more than his comedy because I think that was the real side to him without drugs sometimes but yes he made a lot of people laugh too!

A nice spontaneous response to the sad news. I hear the drum as the heartbeat, the strings as the frenetic pace of a driven life and the piano as a mind racing to keep up with the pace... a fairly good representation of what Robin's life often was. ;)
