Description
This is my favorite song that I've written with the Speakeasy Sway. I want to thank John Libby, Brian Patterson and Scott Fugate for always being willing to let the chips fall where they may. What comes of dreams unfettered, fattened by...

Lyrics
She feels like another face in the crowd and the world keeps spinning around and her baby's balloon floats away she hopes tomorrow they'll realize she's the brightest star in the sky life lived alone you feel it in your bones
You feel it in your bones what an amazing waste a terrible disgrace a prison you call home someday baby you'll be famous enough to call everyone up they will regret the way they treated you everyday and that will shut them up
She feel so let down by the all
You could turn it all around if they'd only listen to what you had to say
She helps tomorrow they'll realize she's the brightest star in the sky I'm not an amazing man I'll give it all I can ill move the earth for you never alone again baby you've got a friend baby you've got a friend someday baby you'll be famous enough to call everyone up they will regret the way they treated you everyday and that will shut them up there's no reason for your secrets when no one will know someday baby you'll be famous enough to call everyone up and they will regret the way they've treated you everyday and that will shut them up someday baby will be famously in love and that will be enough

Nice groove
Soulful delivery. Sounds like something Frampton would write in collaboration with Pink Floyd. From a mix perspective, I could have lived with a little more thump from the kick drum, and maybe the bass too; but the song is very enjoyable; totally solid playing all around; an effective hook, and melodically memorable. Very well done gents, great collaboration! Firsties!

Yeah, excellent song. It seems to evoke a previous time. Impressive vocal work, Gaylen. It does have sort of a floating vibe that is enhanced by Scott's free wheeling drums. Good one. To me, the vocal was possibly a tad soft in the mix and needed a touch of de-essing, especially at the beginning? Minor nit. Enjoyed. Regards, Peter.

Narrative Style...
...This has the feeling of a long story being told to a small group of friends: has something of an intimate sound to it, something personal, something worth listening to. The band is solid behind your vocals, but I thought it was perhaps a bit overpowering almost all the way through. Test: could the lyrics be understood without the lyric sheet? If I actually SAW you singing, I'd probably have no trouble. But...

The Man Who Fell To Dearth
Yes, very Bowie-ish and well-done, Gaylen. Better separation/isolation of instruments and boosting the vocal would make this even better, but the performance is spot on. ;)
