Lyrics
Long train runnin' – Can you hear the whistle blow
Long train runnin' – Takes you where you wanna go

Long train runnin' – Rollin' down that track
Long train runnin' – Ain't no turning back

refr: Steamin' through the country
Station to station, down the line
Hear those engines roar
Chills right down my spine

No need to buy a ticket – All aboard this train
The ride is free, the speed is high – The blood pumps in your veins

Big wheels they keep on rollin' – You got to move right on
'Cause once you're on this track – You got to go right on

Long Train Running 2
Love the rhythm of this. Solid drums, the guitars cut, vocals have warmth and bluesy feel. Lead guitar bounces along. All good!

Erwin's studio is getting a work out, KC. Great for us. Another fine ride from the groovemeister. I like the understated imagery of the lyrics. Nice refrain, too. I'm gonna hop aboard. Take care, Peter.

Big kick Cees!
At first I thought ....... Doobie Bros ..... but not to be :)
That kick drum is amazingly big and punchy - any secrets?
Nicely grooving song with some cool playing. Seems lots of MJers are now moving towards the live recording mode - just listened to Charday's new semi-live post. It's a natural progression from sitting in a tiny room and playing all the instruments yourself I find :)
Terrific post Cees.

Production quality...
...very strong in that regard, especially the bass/percussion and that thumping guitar — all nicely balanced. Vocal strikes me as needing to be brought out in front a bit more. Just my taste, I guess. There's not much of a tune here, but the percussive effects of the whole song win the day for this track, the quality of the recording being its strongest characteristic.
