Description
around a month ago i bought a boss GP-10 guitar processor. I comes with a roland midi pickup & controller that you install onto a guitar. It models various guitars: electrics, acoustics, basses & a variety of other instruments, even a coral sitar, which i used on this tune. plus it can do alternative tunings and has built in synths. anyway, the guitars and synths i recorded with this unit. even though there are basses on the GP-10 i decided to play my epiphone viola bass instead.

Lyrics
Horizontal Zero

well i guess we’ll never know
the years have taken there toll
time might of seemed so endless
the hands of time are slowing down

we stared at the distance a bit of hope
searching for the horizontal zero
horizontal zero

4 a.m. staring at the street lights
dawn was breaking a morning light
and during this time i did not see
what the future was destined to be

we stared at the distance a bit of hope
searching for the horizontal zero
horizontal zero

to this day i gaze at blue skies
knowing dreams lie over the horizon
if time turned back i’ld never know
what would happen tomorrow

we stared at the distance a bit of hope
searching for the horizontal zero
horizontal zero

about a year ago the vintage guitar shop down from where i work had a real coral sitar that i played around with. this boss processor pretty well nails it.

Hey Vic!
You have such a distinct style, that's really hard to do, but I know it's you before you start singing, pretty cool! Nice job as always dude! Jd.

Great track
with some wonderful guitar tones, I love the coral sitar.
The temptation of a vintage guitar shop just down from your work must be too great at times, looking forward to your next purchase Vic :-)

ha! no more purchases. some '50's martin acoustics are sooo far out of my range. this boss GP 10 modeling unit has all the guitars that i don't have and sound very realistic

Loose and dreamy, Vic. Great retro vibe, enhanced by the sitar. The GP-10 sounds like a nice bit of kit. Quality work, as always. Take care, Peter.

I really wanted the Coral Sitar guitar
when I was a kid. There was one in the music store near me I coveted. Sounds like you're having a blast with the new rig. Love the reversed lead into the sitar section. You manged to put so much into your music and it never feels crowded or gratuitous.

when one was for sell at $700 last year i was very tempted. this unit was for $500 and the coral sounds dead on to the real one.

Nice full sound
Love the progression and some well thought out changes. Nice sitar sound coming from that GP-10, I'm guessing, reminds me of some of those cool settings on my old Zoom 9030.

New toys - excellent! A big sound in this with your signature vocals getting the message across. Love the sitar at 1:48. Strong bass works well. Good one, Vic!

Zeroing in
You had me fooled. I listened to this piece before reading the description .. and I was taken aback when I heard the guitar lead .. thinking Vic has done some amazing sound-tweaking to make his guitar mimic a sitar. Well, I guess you did, but in a different way than I was imagining.

Finding the right perspective is always tricky. You have zeroed in.
