Description
Further update. Back story: Some music off the cutting room floor from Rhapsody For The Elephant In A Room With A View. Expanding this for a new piece. Now up to 11 minutes, this has taken on a mind of its own. Don't know where it will end up. Still a long way to go. Thanks again for listening.

WARNING: the dynamics are... from ppp ("pianississimo" – very very soft, to ƒƒƒ ("fortississimo" – very very loud).

POST SCRIPT: The finished piece is up HERE at SoundCloud. I'll post it at MJ soon with a download. Thanks for the listen and comments!

Elephant leftovers..
.. more ivory! ;) Amusing folly ... liked the Francisco de Asís Tárrega y Eixea snippet .and some kinda 'Hovis' (UK bread advert:Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9) moments ...made me shout "footprints in the butter!". Enough of the plebeian comments... I enjoyed this Al and it's obvious labour of love... only improvement: real orchestra .. but as always, unbelievably incredible for a midi instrument score/recording.. perhaps a touch more a-typical reverb on the whole thing would assist the illusion...but as it stands, it is a real work of art. Peace.

Grazi!
Them are some BIG guns you mention there! I have an arsenal of reverb "Spaces" from EW (live halls, sound stages, etc.), but I'm always afraid to use them for fear of muddiness. Thanks for your comments, and of course, for tuning in.

Evolution in action
It's fun to hear this grow. It's becoming cinematic, even cartoonish in some places, lush in others. Never know what's on the next page of the score.

A slow build in both loudness and chord progressions. Reminds me of George Gershwin a lot who was one of my favorites!
I love it. Very creative my friend.

Gershwin
I just had to throw in that clarinet rip... always wanted to do that! And the 'Nokia' ringtone from Francisco de Asís Tárrega y Eixea's "Gran Vals" guitar genius (as pointed out by Alan - AKA - apb). Thanks for the listen and comments.

Origins
Easily sustained my interest for the 11+ minutes. As always, I am super impressed with the musical skill and time and effort that most go into producing something like this. Much kudos. Regards, Peter.

Shades of Americana
APB sez it all. Effective deployment of dissonance here, and there's a lot of early-jazz orchestra in the pacing. I kept thinking of Thomas Hart Benton for some reason. I need to listen a few more times. Grand stuff!
