Lyrics
back at the farm
back at the farm
back at the farm, state of alarm
read another book about how to stay calm its a
struggle sometimes
listen up, look alive
put your head into a dead archive
listen up look alive,
you're alive
heres something for you
something for you
its woven all through the threads of this tune
barely together its a good afternoon to put your
troubles behind you

back at the Tower
back at the Tower
push seventh floor, pull out the drawer,
grab the skull and roses & you’re ready to go.

Look alive
Cool catchy tune with thought-provoking lyrics. Overall production is top-notch. Love the electric piano solo and vocal harmonies near the end. Cheers.

I was kind of thinking seventies when I did this one. Even used "Seventies Kit" for the fake drums! really appreciate your listen and comment.

Dead Archive
Great to hear something a bit left field but still really together and wonderfully musical. Liking the Steely Dan vibe and the cool keys solo. Sounds great. Thanks, Peter.

I am a Steely fan. The quality control on this is many notches below them, but thanks for the compliment!

Thanks Bud, the Grateful Dead Archive is one of my favourite websites; devoid of subject matter for a song, I thought I'd do a little tribute!

Candy Man?
As they used to say, 'far out'.. A pleasant listen.. esp the keyboards.. reminded me of Pink Floyd with a more mainstream feel..:)

thanks Hooligan! the main riff might have slightly influenced by the Floyd song "money" - although mine is 5/4 instead of 7/4...

the timings
in this made the song. 5/4, 6/8, 4/4 even a few others. but it still cohesive (in a proggy way). Frankly, the chorus is--dare I say it?--*catchy*. How the @#%! did you do the drum programming???

holy ground
I read the lyrics and was thinking 'huh?' but then the first note and I got it. Love that someone commented that it sounds like Sloane! Canadians! My uncle used to deliver pizza in an old black Malibu with the skeleton/roses painted on the hood. As always great stuff, especially the vocals which are tops.
