Drumbeats off Jupiter

This is something I did for an online class I'm taking at foothill college in the bay area. The assignment was a "soundscape" so I decided to do something with a little sci-fi flavor.

Dramatic, atmospheric, certainly captures the "Soundscape". What did you use for the instruments?
Bubowski said 912 days ago (June 15th, 2015)
Thanks! Instruments are Kore Player (True Strike Tension percussion), Omnisphere (solo child voice) and EWQLSO for the solo violin and cello. All the rest is from Alchemy and the M3. The guitar is DI'd from my Yamaha NCX900 (acoustic electric classical). Unfortunately both Kore Player and Alchemy are discontinued.

Didn't know you needed classes, but any reason to make some good music, eh..?! Big thanks for the lovely listen, my first on MJ for quite a while I'm afraid.

Take care,

Yeah, I feel little bad since I already have a BA in Composition and this is a class at a Community College, but I'm learning how to sync audio effects and soundtrack etc. to video so its a little new. It mainly provides me with structure and motivation to DO SOMETHING. :)

You nailed the soundscape. I am suddenly at the Arctic Circle! Not so much sci-fi to my ears. This has a naturalist's feeling to it, very much describing the serenity of the wilderness and the delicate beauty that lies just beyond the naked eye's ability to see it. Pretty exquisite stuff. I so enjoyed listening to it.

Nice. I wasn't expecting a natural sound like the guitar amidst the interesting collection of synths. Very cool and evocative, a choice set of individual sound choices, and a story-like weaving of a sonic tale. A very patient exposition as well which is not always easy to do.

You've kept my interest up throughout and I've taken a download for my ambient playlist (with many thanks!)
