Summer Heat

Description
The last couple of weeks we had beautiful hot summer days and warm summer nights. Perfect. The whole world is different when the sun shines. I got myself a zoom R16 and played around with it. It works perfectly with batteries and so I get the inspiration to that song in a night sitting outside and recording the basics. It felt not that right with just a guitar and I was looking for some drums and found the right beat - created by Edward Charles (Sound Toy Loop). The final cut was made with Logic Pro.
I hope you will enjoy the song and the summer.

Lyrics
You got him where you want him
You make him change his mind
In the night with the summer heat

He surrenders to your passion
He left his love behind
In the night with the summer heat

But the heat wont´t last forever
And you already feel the cold breeze
Through the summer heat

To young to understand
The broken heart of a man
Suffers without the summer heat

Summer Heat
The muted lead guitar gives the song a languid, distant feel. Works well. In package all round. Enjoyed the stop. Thanks, Peter.

thx
Hi Peter thanks a lot - the lead guitar was quite experimental for me since this isn´t actually the style I prefer to play. But the other versions with a cleaner more straight forward sound I tried did´t seem to suit the song. So I am glade you like it.

Summer Heat
Love my R16,,, Excellent choice imho.

Great bluesy vibe going on here. As you said the drum beat does work well ,Might have used a bit of verb, or chorus to move it back in the mix just a scosche...Cool song as is though,, Much enjoyed.

thx - good advice
Thanks for the comment - I will definitely keep your advice referring verb/chorus on the drums in mind the next time respectively work the version over and look how it will sound.
Have a nice late summer :)

Love the guitar
and vocals fit the mood and vibe of the music nicely. Use to use a zoom a lot back in the multitrack days. Still have the processor and use one of zooms pedals in my arsenal. Back to the tune, enjoyable listen, keep them coming.
