Instant
smile as soon as it started out. This is original? Love the songwriting. Sounds like it should be a well-known traditional.
Wish you had panned the guilele and the kala so we could hear them separately. Doesn't mar the song in the least though.
...still smilin.

Nooooooooo..
very traditional I am afraid...I wished it was an original...but it's an Old Time American song ...I did it in Old Time Skiffle style......I need to get my sound system up and running ...I am mixing using one speaker ...oops ..on the TV I use as a monitor .Point well made ...I will source a small stereo system...

Thanks for the listen.

Cheers

These are
different to the lyrics that I got from the Lonnie Donegan Skiffle version ...they seem more authentic ...

Wabash. A classic. York is noted train country, too, isn't it? Any ballads about the London - Edinburgh train? You should write one! Thanks, Peter.

Yes ..the
National Railway Museum is at York ,home to Mallard, Flying Scotsman and many other notable Locos...there is a poem about the mail train ...but there seems to be a dearth of UK Train songs ...strange that....

Sing it!
I like this song a lot and you've given it a twist that is more mountain music than country and western. Well sung and played Chris! I'll be sending you over a pair of bib overalls to wear at your next gig.

Cheers!

I joined a Bluegrass Group
earlier this year to develop my 5 string banjer playing, it kind of gets into the style of playing other things as well.....like Hayseed Dixie playing hard rock in a BG style....

Bluegrass group in the North East of england.the natcheral home of BG ..Not !
