Electric Aranjuez

Description
Pop arrangement of the melody from Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez.

Found something else Structure synthesizes well - electric guitar - in addition to flute-like things, bells, and plastic guitars with wooden strings.

I always find the reinterpretation...
of those classics we know so well an amazing reintroduction to the music, a total reassessment.
well done!

Hi Franciscus
Glad you liked it. This happened on the way to a synth version of the complete Concierto, having already done it once straight.

While messing around looking for a solo patch in Structure out came this Strat tone, which led to a walking bass and drums, but the result wound up downtempo instead of Rock.

Hi Ray,
Wasn't sure I could pull off the pitch bends, but it's not too awful. I'm still working on it, and even getting a little vibrato now. Electric guitars are really hard to fake. Thanks for the comment.

Pville Flash strikes again!
Midi paradise... The choices made were excellent...
Suggestion? Try saturation and then compression in yer signal chain, you can "push/pull", might smooth things out... Thanks for sharing this piece with us!

I had it backwards
I had a compressor first, then the amp simulator. Your method makes more sense. Thanks for that.

Congratulations!
I'd never have this kind of focus on detail. The pitch wheel stuff is pretty amazing. Impressive post. I'd maybe drop the lead instruments back in the mix just a tad.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

A most worthy interpretation
Very very nicely done! Guitar work is spot on, and the beats and embellishments in the orchestration all add to the delicious mix. Cool stuff and thanks for the download.
