No One Was Hurt in the creation of this little number featuring a digitally-sampled 1951 American Steinway that I’ve recently added to my arsenal of such instruments that live inside my CPU. The clarity of this particular plugin is sort of astounding. I hope you will enjoy the craziness of this number that I recorded a few years ago probably on an evening when I had just a wee bit too much caffeine
coursing through my system. Ha. Ha.

(And just when you thought you had my “style” pegged…)

Another PFP submission. I will say this is more dissonant and wide ranging than your norm, but there are a couple of precedents, so I'm not shocked. Added to the "Pearls Become Wisdom" album. Thanks for the D/L.

Your skills
are astounding and these flights of tempestuous fancy are thrilling.
Little bits of Gershwin - great bits of talent.
And that piano sounds great!

Hey, cutting loose a bit there!
Great stuff here, not too much caffeine or anything else, after all mixing up your pace and mood a bit is always good, variety is the spice and all that...

More racy numbers to mix with your tremendous subtle touch would be most welcome.

Lovely tone and expressive playing with good light and shade. Much enjoyed, Paul.

You still have the touch...
...for making the 'out' delightfully 'in'...melodic, sprightly, engaging , flowing and rich...

None of which is the digital sampling, although, after the playing and the composing, that piano is pretty arresting...

Always a joy......
....... to listen to your pieces Paul (although I'm a bit disappointed by the title - did you run out of numbers?). Your playing is so exciting and the leaps between manic and thoughtful are a delight.
Cheers from Oz,

I love this. It's very evocative. If I had any animation skills I would make a movie to go with it.

Somehow I missed this.

I don't know about crazy but it's a lot of fun :-)

You're such an amazing piano player! To come up with an intricate composition and then perform with a light touch is really impressive. The plug-in sounds particularly organic.

Incidentally the piano keyboard looks like a Tom & Jerry battle, which a few elements of your composition reminded of:) And I mean that as a compliment, not to lessen the lyrical depth of it of course! Even if not that much of MJ is left, the stock goes up a few 100% after a post of yours.

Sorry to be late "catching" up with this, Paul. The caffeine aided your dexterity but didn't affect your wonderful touch. Isn't it great to fit a Steinway inside your computer. Now just get a Macbook Air and you can carry it around and it will be lighter than the piano stool :-) Inspired, as always. Thanks.

Late to the party but at least the music's still playing!

Apart from this being a delightful diversion full of little melodic corridors of differing moods and colours, it is played with such virtuosity that it's hard to know just what to say other than.... wow. I always get caught hearing a passage and thinking that reminds me of (say Gershwin) and then it changes and the association is gone completely. This happened over and over, but over it all was the dancing of notes that was both extremely engaging and most entertaining.

I'd say having caffeine from time to time is just fine.
