Description
Another failed audition. Attempt at a Carthy/Jones guitar theme for a kids' show. It's two guitars, but they're both playing the same thing.

Kids
Clean playing, lively tune, ringing tone. Good one!

It's in the vault
So one day it'll be part of something else. Trying to keep it clean made me appreciate how good Carthy and Jones are, not to mention certain MacJammers, like you and Peter.

Chico
I tried to get a Chico Marx bounce in there at the end of the lines, to recall the way he would play for kids in the movies. Thanks for listening, Daug.

Dueling Banjos
I hear this more as a dueling banjos kind of thing, a la "Deliverance." Once the tune gets played a few times, zoom into a double-tempo romp and just jam away. Lots of potential, I think. Keep noodling along.

That sounds like a good plan next time I visit this little tune.

Short and straight to the point. What a fun way to spend 60 seconds. Thanks for posting it.

Thank you, KC
Ovations have a plug - in tone that people seem to like or hate. Mine sounds good unplugged, so I'm lucky to have both possibilities.

It's good to have an acoustic instrumental now and again :-)

One-minute guitar
Unplugged!

I like the doubling-up of the guitars. It creates a warm full-bodied soundtrack that really fills up the ears .. while at the same time those ears keenly try to discern subtle differences in the playing.

I'm just lazy.
It sounded OK with the two, so I left it. Otherwise I'd've been fooling with EQ and reverb with a single guitar. If it ain't broke ... Cheers, Warren.

Kids
Bouncy and fun with a nice touch of drone. I'm sure kids would like it. The producer was probably a miserly Scot :-) Thanks, Graham.

Bouncy
was what I was aiming for. The people on the site I have been using often don't know what they want, and offer ridiculously tiny sums for the work. So I expect they get what they deserve in the end. Thanks for listening, Peter.
