Description
I have not been here in a while. I can't promise I won't disappear again. For now, here is a track I made a few years ago.

Lyrics
This thing started with the birth of man
Where he’d conversate with God while he worked with hand
Once banished from the garden he would search the land
With his family in tow, they researched a plan
To get back to the Most High
And to survive in the world apart from God where these demons and these ghost lie Where the guarantee of death means that most die
Where some work hard and others simply coast by
Before we split in those ancient days
We would all get together contemplating ways
To get back to the glory that we had before
To get back to the glory that we had and more
One man felt God’s presence and he started to speak
While another felt it too and started clapping a beat
The first instrument was a verse in his name
passed down for generations, now this culture we claim as...
Worldwide we represent
Hiphop we rocking it
don’t stop no blocking it
...right. and left a print
on this life we live in it
this mic we’re giving it all
Till my days are worn
And my soul changes to an amazing form
God is the one who built me to brave the storm
Against the competition who’s ways are torn
Grime reaper with a sickle bout to raise the born
On top of mount Zion when I blaze the horn
You can blog that, or meme it, or tweet that too
I cannot do no other than to speak that true
These snakes keeping secrets Imma leak that too
And turn from these devils when they speak at you
Whats beef? And I don’t mean the rappers that fight
I’m talking about the one who is after the right
They’ll send a whole army just to capture the light
And bite your whole style like rappers delight
Arch angel with the Black wing mastering flight
On the block like Spock moving faster than light
The El spit it logically
Dropping that geometry
I’m Dogon Sirius with space age astronomy
This is a part of me
God and technology
Faith and economy
One day we all will be...
One we represent
Hiphop we rocking it
don’t stop no blocking it
...right. and left a print
on this life we live in it
this mic we’re giving it all
This is a way and means
Try my best to make real what I say in dreams While they work to condition to obey the green And these false images to take away esteem
I am not that fool you can play and deem
As a pawn, on this chessboard I’ll slay the queen
I will not allow doubt to invade my space
With that thug pop rap to serenade my race
I will blow down the house that you made in haste
Cause if God’s got your back you can’t degrade the grace
I am not deterred
Making hiphop soul in the lab like gumbo in the pot when stirred Living close to the edge but this is not the curb
Hiphop has many books, but few have got the word
If you don’t stand for something you are bound to fall
If life is a prison then tear down the wall
They would like to see you grovel on the ground and crawl Instead of reaching heavens gate where theres a crown for all Keep your ears open for the sound to call
To take arms this battle for these clowns to fall
At our hands we represent
Hiphop we rocking it
don’t stop no blocking it
...right. and left a print
on this life we live in it
this mic we’re giving it all

Great to find you here again Mitchell
I've been gone quite a while myself. I really like the music track you built - and as ever - you paint a compelling picture with your lyrics. Have a great holiday!

Flowin
right on the beat, like the chimes in the background, You really get into the flow with the way you rap it, like how it keeps going almost non stop every now and then the echo gives it the right touch, very cool!

Unique approach musically to rapping. I like your choice of keys very much. Intense vocal delivery. Your conviction comes through quite nicely.

You
even had "it" back then. Love that backing track, particularly the vibes. Now these are some lyrics! If you leave again, I hope it's not for too long. Feels cool seeing and hearing some old faces.

Density of ideas.
Too much to process in one hearing. A lot going on there.
Love the Kalimba like tones at the beginning connecting with the deep roots. And, as always, that tight delivery.
Have you seen ' Roots of Rhythm' with Harry Belafonte ' ? It's on Youtube.
