Ahhh... A Summer afternoon in Paris, coffee, a paper, and leisure to sit and watch the passing scene.

Collaboration with Paul F. Page. His tune, my arrangement.

Paris Cafe Arrangement
My recollection of Paris doesn't sound anything like this... a good thing!
A piece of toast and an orange juice was $25.00, and, no one would help unless questions were prefaced with, "I am an American, and I have a problem I can't resolve, might you help me?"
Must have been a different part of town. This doesn't smell bad either, I recall Paris smells like 'Frisco.
Well done midi work here, the production is spot on as usual. You guys were made to work together.

Recollections of Paris...
... differ for sure. I worked there briefly in winter a couple of times, and took days off to wander around the old city. The tourist areas were expensive and the food was bad. No memories of a summer day at a sidewalk cafe. But I did enjoy a city which didn't look like L.A. or NYC and where a neighborhood pizza joint didn't serve Domino's pepperoni. I hear Starbuck's, KFC, and McD's have made inroads lately, alas.

Paul's piece is a tribute to the Paris of the movies. At first I resisted an accordion, then decided "What the heck..."

I love Paris. This does have the feel of a M. Hulot movie. Good choice of instrumentation. Much enjoyed.

Tres bien, messieurs!
How could a Page/Spragens collab be anything but a treat? A delightful treat. It had to have an accordion ;-) Garçon, un café noir encore, s'il vous plait.
Have a happy 2017 Henry, and may you be productively prolific.

I could so hear this in a scene from a Jacques Tati film. Pity he's not still around to hear this but thankfully we still are!! Much enjoyed. Cheers Mark

Captured that whimsical, romantic Paris of movies from a bygone era, perfectly, Henri. Well done. Thanks.
