Strangely, at 1:37 ...
... after a rather cacophonous-to-me and discordant-to-me “unexplained opening minute” ... this piece of music suddenly became ... magnificent!

Suddenly, the trumpet was making a crystal-clear opening statement, punctuated by strings and percussion. (And this is what earned my favorite-point!)

Your father and his fellow musicians gave us a magnificent performance.   I am jumping up and down in my seat, gesticulating with my hat, and stuffing currency-units into their tip jar.

Please, now, quietly discard that first minute of whatever-it-was who-the-hell-cares.   Just cut the whole thing off and let it go bye-bye.

Elevating!
As soon as the flute and trumpet come in, until 3:48 this track is amazing!! Unusual and a beautiful musical journey. Impressive that you got a string orchestra to perform for you. Stunning trumpet solo, haunting flute playing and composition.

In my listening experience, after 3:48, the drums were too prominent and the rhythm made the track a little trivial, compared to the vaster feel and scope in the first part. Still really enjoyed it. Excellent post!!

You
have some truly gifted musicians playing here. Love the trumpet, especially. Plaintive and controlled. Thanks.

The Call (Part One)
I didn't mind the intro section at all. I feels to me that the whole piece is telling an eventful, beguiling story. Such sweet trumpet lines. But the whole arrangement is stellar. Wonderful recording again, too. Hats off to all. Thanks.
