Andante Languidamente

The title is the tempo. While playing this piece, there is such a give-and-take in the opening bars that I thought "languid" might help describe the intent/style of the performance. This is "Interlude No. 26" of the next installment in this organ solo series. It's mostly a little trio. I hope those who hear it will enjoy this little romantic escape. Seriously though:)
I really enjoyed this piece. The sound, pacing and overall sense of calm in 'andante' is just wonderfully enjoyable. Especially that beautiful beginning phrase. Wasn't entirely familiar with the word 'languid' and had a good laugh when I looked it up!

Everything you write
is of interest Paul. Perhaps it was my mood today and the slight discord of the work -intentional of on your part of course, and well worth the listen, but I found it bit unsettling.

I "met" that organ before? ;)
There were moments before and around the 2 min mark that brought an accordion more to mind.

Fine sonic painting, Paul. I can see where Charlie is coming from re the unsettling aspect of some of the sections, though. There is a subtle Stepford Wives vibe that pokes its head out every now and then. Interesting on many levels. Thanks.

creations are always many layered and intriguing. Glad you weren't too "languid" and managed to play this piece. :) Thank you for all your work. It enriches all of us.

Romantic escape
This piece is simpler in structure than your usual compositions. It's mostly 4 bar phrases, and where you depart from that it's through stretching a chord, rather than making a phrase that is intrinsically longer. Mostly you're also starting every phrases on the tonic chord.

There are plenty of nifty chromatic passing chords, but in essence the structure is 4 bar phrases with 4 chords. Why this departure from your normal more free-form approach?
