Description
This organ number runs about 4:24. If you are up to it, you will hear Henry Spragens' mastering of the original recording that features a broad stereo field and increased volume level to bring out the richness of the solo oboe d'amore on the organ. It is a sombre piece meant for quiet thought and peacefulness. If you are interested in seeing/playing/or sharing the written score, you can find it here:

I hope you will enjoy listening to this piece.

Lovely instrument
Which organ was used to play this?   I can hear the lovely “chuff” of valves ...

The arrangement – thank you, as usual, for providing the score – has a very processional feel to each phrase.   Then, a measured pause as if to say, “now, stop and think about that.”

Paul, that was exquisite
thanks for the 5 minute meditation. Beautifully written and played. The harmonic richness and depth of the piece is really rewarding of close listening.
