heavy
a more intense version of Queens of the stone age Feel Good hit of the summer smashed into Jacobs Ladder by Rush. When I started listening I though you'd only recorded it through the left channel.then realised I's knocked the cable off my right speaker while cleaning. Still rocked.
Would have like to have been at the gig
Cheers

Thanks for listening
I feel lucky to be in a band that wanted a guitar player - and ended up with me on guitar for only one gig. Then I broke my shoulder real good and had to come up with something new as guitar was out. If I keep it simple enough - I hope it's hard to tell I don't play piano. Other times I work with samples and electronics. Our drummer is great to watch - and the shows are fun.

Well titled...
Intertwining and colliding bits that add up to music...A neat and very 'live' recording...

Chis wrote this number - and the title
he's a fan of long count rhythm structures - or whatever you'd call the time that the other three are keeping. I heard a Velvet Underground White Light/White Heat thing. Colliding - yes.

sounds really good for a club performance. no denying the intensity of this piece. sure proves old guys can rock out heavy & loud.

Thanks Vic
The performance space is a classic bar backroom, with a decent PA and good acoustics. I just put my Zoom H2 on a ledge by the board at the back of the room. Our drummer is the youngest and has great stamina and intensity. I'm very grateful to be playing with these guys.

Fascinating rhythm
I like how it builds. Must be intense to be in the middle of it.

The count on this is long
and unpredictable. 3 5 4 4 3 4 4 2 5 2 3 5 2 2 3 4 4 2 5 2 - if you care to play along. Yes - it's intense being inside this one. Thanks for listening.

Cold sweat
I had hoped to get over and catch the show, but other plans intruded. Now I know what I missed! Extended textured build with waves of intensities. I'm sweating just listening to it.

I think the time you saw us
at Muchmore's was the first time we played this at a gig. Love the JB / Pee Wee Ellis tag - thanks!

Excellent sound
For a live gig.

Plenty of energy in this.

The drummer is working really hard and is very good.

Cheers

The drummer is really somwthing
Brian has major chops and is a blast to play with. He's completely in the moment and playing off everything that's happening. He plays a lot of improv gigs with the jazz crowd - while also drumming for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Very cool
This makes me wish I still played live. This has great energy and evolves in a very interesting way.

I really owe it to Chris that I'm still playing gigs
since my accident. Chris came to us with this one - and sees it as a meditation. The evolution is different every time. The count and key is the only constant. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

Thanks for dropping by
It's great to hear different reactions to this track. Dancing is not the first thing that comes to my mind - but if it's a mover - it's a good sign.

Starts of intense and still manages to get heavier by the minute. Pretty mind-blowing stuff. Recording is great. Thanks, Bud.

Live Show
I just saw Dinosaur Jr play last week, which was awesome by the way, and this track immediately reminded me of that constant push from behind when you worm your way up to the stage and try to keep your position in front. Strong stance with feet firmly planted and trying not to let anyone squeeze in from either side. I love Kingbee's description - perfect!!
