This is a link to a tech blog called "Mashable". The story is about Article 13 in the EU internet regulations. Don't know anything about that do ya? So busy with mandatory hate ya missed another one... the latest smoking gun in the destruction on your personal freedom. No matter, no worries, all the news that fits in the mass delusion is the party line anyway. Hate on my good friends. Daug |

As this is a subject area that interests you I suggest you follow the EFF, which tracks and provides avenues for activism on a host of relevant issues.

It’s just a little too easy these days to cry “Fire!” in a crowded theater. Or, to cry “Wolf!”
In all of human history, nothing like The Internet has ever existed, nor even been seriously anticipated. It’s going to take time, and a lot of thought, to figure out just what new laws should – and should not – be enacted. EU appears to be the first to be taking serious steps in this direction, but they won’t be the last. The Internet is beginning to grow up. It is going to be regulated, like every other form of telecommunication. Every legislative body everywhere has some avenue for Public Comment. These people need to hear from you – thoughtfully. They are, quite literally, going where no man has gone before. |
