Alzies Garage

Description
One day as Michael and I sat watching the early morning fog roll down the street in front of my SF Flat, we began discussing old man Alzheimer, and thinking about what must have been left in his garage. Memories un accounted for.
This is the story of that morning, and Alzie's garage. Circa 1984.

A play in 3 parts. 1 for each ear, and something for the middle.

This is a long piece, about 15 mins I think. It starts out with some flutes, then drifts into some guitar, e bow and percussion. It's a story, so you have to have a little time to sit through the whole thing.

I'm either
watching the ocean from my perch up in this tree, or meditating in a smoke filled room. Either way, I'm enjoying the imagery. I'm digging these recordings from decades past, Blaine.

I like the vocal beat
It goes along with the actual beat and music well. Seems like
a national geographic soundtrack.

at just the right spots.

ooo... flutie...
Thank you.

So, just to be clear, the flute that you heard here, you had never heard before,
although you did hear a flute a few years ago that sounded like this flute,
recorded 15 years before the flute that you heard that sounded like this flute
sounds to you now...

I'm still thinking about it.

I think I may have made them.

Surreal
and evocative. Very interesting. Bits remind me of 1 Giant Leap, mixed with some Rye Cooder. Love it!

Surreal
Checked out their site, but I have to say, I haven't heard any of it. Didn;t look
like you could listen to any samples either. Sounds like it would be very cool
though...

Again
What a brilliant piece of music - I both hate it and love it when I miss out
on something good... Many types of music comes in mind here,
mentioned Ry Cooder, also Laurie Anderson, I don't know a lot of different
soundscapes from around the world. This is very interesting, I know I will
listen to this song quite a bit and always find something new... Thank
you! (Also thank you for all the comments on my music)...

If you
heard slightly oriental, cascading notes while in an Alzheimer's haze, it wouldn't be so bad. But, I kind of think you hear nothing. The confusion has got to be scary. Now, back to this...tranquil, wistful and luxuriant. I love it.
Thanks.
