Lyrics

So many years just lost in space,
But in my mind I still see your face.

Let it go,
Let it slip away.
Let it go,
Let it slip away.

Throw away the broken flowers,
I've blown it, yes I've blown it.
Cast aside the broken hours,
I've blown it, yes I've blown it.
And I know it, yes I know it,
I know it, yes I know it.

But in my mind I'm not the same,
This time, this time things gotta change.

Let it go,
Let it slip away.
Let it go,
Let it slip away.

Throw away the broken flowers,
I've blown it, yes I've blown it.
Cast aside the broken hours,
I've blown it, yes I've blown it.
And I know it, yes I know it,
I know it, yes I know it.

Is this a test?
'Cos I don't have the strength
To pull myself
Out of this hole,
I don't know myself.

Let it go,
Let it slip away.
Let it go,
Let it slip away.

Throw away the broken flowers,
I've blown it, yes I've blown it.
Cast aside the broken hours,
I've blown it, yes I've blown it.
And I know it, yes I know it,
I know it, yes I know it.

nice intro
i love the intro. not sure i like the lowness of the chorus. i can see what the vocal style is going for, it could be worked on a little. i like the instrumentation. i wonder if this would work better in a different key. feels like it should either be higher or lower. it seems to be in a little bit of an awkward middle for the song. but, thats just me. it seems to be pretty well put together, and the idea of the song is great. the chorus is a bit catchy.

Smooth, catchy heartbreak?
Seems kind of unfair. Very solid tune. Excellent production, as usualy.
Really like the catchy guitar lick at the beginning and the bassline
throughout. Like the vocals throughout, but especially on the "Is this s
test?" verse. A lot more emotion seems to come through there.

Let it go...
wow- what tight production on this. Voice is sounding great, as always-
nice mix of style from gritty into falsetto. Very nice. The harmonies on "let
it go, let it slip away" and the chorus are perfect. Man- I really love this
song. I also liked the "Is this a test" part.

Well constructed, performed and produced. Excellent all around. Faved
and downloaded.

This tune
reminds me a bit of David Bowie who i love and adore.
liked everything about this tune except the guitar riff in the intro, sounds
too midi for me.

BTW - i love the work you did with duran duran.

Love the Chorus
Really catchy melody on chorus. Opening reminded me a bit of Talking
Heads (but rhythmically smoother).
Very very good singing and production.

nice & funky
like the tremelo sound on the guitar, brings me back to the 50's with that
shimmering sound of the guitar.

Nice rockin

Thanks
I liked writing this one. I've been trying to get a better spacial integration of all the instruments in the final mastering process using a touch of reverb on the final output. I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Really appreciate the comments.

tune!
hello, great hook in this tune!, personally i like the spacious sounding
drums, although i guess they are midi they sound very acoustic and suit
the song perfectly. Also very good mix everything sits brilliantly and
excellent use of stereo, not wanting to end on a bad note, but i'd
probably lose some of the backing vox, there's lots! otherwise this is
going on my iPod! word.

Nice Hooks
This sing shows your excellent song writing ability. The changes form verse to chorus to bridge to vamp. I am very impressed and can't wait to check out the rest of your stuff. Very nice job Mr. Taylor (Two thumbs up for this one)
