I've been working on this rift for quite sometime. It still needs a base part (big whoop). I can do more with the drums and... THE BIGGEST problem Lyrics!. But it will get there. This is just me recording down my idea. Let me know of any ideas. KEEP on Jammin.

Hey my ears are old...
but it seems to me that the drums don't fit with the guitar timing wise... That could just be me though!

I love the guitar riff though! Really do!

Nice sound.
This is a good sound a and I can hear it being really excellent
Have to admit I have soo many problems fitting the drums in just right most of the feedback I get usually are in relation to my drum not being timed right etc. Still a nice sound though I like it. Love the guitar riff too.
Peace Dee

thanks. yeah i think when I redo this I might just make my own drums rather than use a loop. Im more worried about putting in lyrics in and then I think everything else will sort of fall into place. Thanks for the listen.

Enthusiatic ..

.. catchy guitar jam. Makings of a good pop song. Some bits of the catchiest lead lines could form the basis of a melody for the singing .. just a thought... and decide a spot for a solo... if you do decide to do a vocal arrangement.

Drum timing needs some work.. bass and vocals needed... perhaps some synths.. might sound a bit "The Cars" in the end.

I'd also suggest you experiment a little with some stereo field placement, like keeping rhythm guitar and drums C and perhaps duplicate and pan/spread the lead guitars L/R a bit eg /- 32 (say) can give them a bit more spotlight and clarity.

Overall very good, enjoyed it- solid guitar playing, keep it up.

Thanx alot for the advice and the listen. Once I get these damn finals over this song will be priority. Nice idea about the pan for the lead. I suck with my drums.

Wot everyone else (and you) said...
...about the drums. Easy enough to fix over time. Nice sound from the guit...what're you playing on and through?

yo thanx
Im playing on a Ibanez GAX with a digitech RP100 pedal. From that to the computer I use an iMic with a monster cable. For the lead I tried to make it really clean. Then for the power cords I made it a little dirty.
