Description
This is a song I wrote when I was on a beautiful vacation with my family a few weeks ago in Mexico. This song means something special to me, but I'm not going to rob you of that same experience ;)

Lyrics
Eadd2 EM7add2 C#m/E
See me, looking right through you
C#madd2/E AM7add2
Waving to one behind you
Aadd2
But she’s nothing but a wave

See me, looking behind me
Checking for footsteps beside me
But they’re washed out by the waves

AM7add2
No we can’t get back
C#m/E
What we’ve left behind
AM7add2
Now you can’t change this
C#m/E
They are gone, time’s always been relentless
Courage comes
When the rainbow forms
After the storm

I see you, looking into me
Forgetting time has bound me
& drown me in her waves
I see you, carry no fear in you
Faith is being near you
And standing on the waves

Bridge:
Eadd2 AM7add2 C#m/E

Sweet . . .
The guitar and vocals fit like a glove.
The guitar rhythm adds to the feel of the ocean.
Thanks for posting the chords too . . .

Strong
Very strong, heartfelt voice. Excellently written.

You've got some really good lines in this one.

This could be used in a film. Great stuff.

Great vocal and guitar - they go together so well. The EQ (if you you've it) on the guitar brings out the bass strings in the chords without booming - not easy to do! Just a sweet acoustic song - what more do you need - it's what I like to listen to?

Thank you Steve.
the main thing that makes the guitar sound like that is the tuning. I used a capo covering the A D & G strings on the first fret. Thanks for listening!

Great Vox & Melody
Your voice is really great. I love your chord progressions on this one and how you lay your melody over them. Very heartfelt singing. I would have loved to hear this one slowly build with strings in the background as the song progresses. I am truly glad I stopped by and look forward to hearing more from you in the future. Thanks.

Great skill...
This is a beautiful, evocative song - haunting and compelling. Lyrics, singing, playing, chord changes... each element works flawlessly and complements the others. And I enjoyed playing piano along with you - I gave myself into the mood it put me in. Thanks for that...

I will be listening to the rest of your songs, Jason. You are a talented young man. I'm grateful to Scott for telling me about you.
