One day I walked out of here
with nothing but a wing and prayer, you know?
The nex time I came back through this door,
All my feelings felt ignored, you know?

There was a new rule thrown in the game
Nothing will ever be the same
body and soul can not ignore
they can't do what they did before

This disenchantment can not go
Until I find it in myslef
And I will probably never know
Until I find it in myself

Leafing through these magazines
My head is spinning in a dream, you know?
What I've seen through these eyes
nothing will be compromised, you know?

The feelings that were on a shelf
will get dusted off and put to the test
places never been before,
the ones in life that I adore.

Yo Ho!
This bounces so nice. Knowing your writing for so long never takes away the excitement for hearing a new one. The best compliment I can give you here is that your recording spectrum is improving - you are getting the lows down low and the mix really right. The bass sits where it belongs, on the bottom. The drums are in the pocket - the acoustics take the game on the left and right ears and your vocal is out front. Okay, enough from the recording snob...

Good for the soul.
It's late, I'm tired but inspired by the depth of your lyrics and the recording as a whole. I can't even fake something enlightening to say except for that you're a good soul to be able to express yourself this way, and good luck to your friend.

to hear such news. Strange how such an excellent and poignant song can come from something so sorrowful. The vocals on this are absolutely brilliant, with some well chosen harmonies to compliment. I like the way it sort of chugs along with the fairly upbeat nature of the drums. Terribly catchy song. A definate favourite for me.
Thanks for sharing this.

One of those trance-like melodies that's perfect for a solitary drive. Works for the feeling of facing like cancer, I would imagine. A big journey, but I'm sure your friend appreciates you being there. Great, great song!
