Description
This is my FIRST attempt as using some indian raga scales and tabla to try to create some sort of shakti type vibe. Some of the melodic playing is hard for me so please excuse they many mistakes . I hope the mood is there though . i love this sort of music and will keep trying to make it better .. I hope you like it ..

First attempt
Good shakti vibe. It's already outstanding that you've understood this kind of music. Thanks and good luck for your future attempts !

I know
nothing about Shakti. I think it coaxes into a deep meditative state or sharpens focus...or both? Nice. Thanks.

The sentinal awakens
and provides a wonderful breath of cool sunrise, slowly illuminating the hills outside the window... the steam of dew slowly dancing in the morning rays.

Love the guitar work, dreamy. The tabla seemed either slightly loud in the mix, or not necessary at all, to me anyway. And of course, the spell is broken when i suddenly ran out of mp3 :-) But very nice work here.

mesmerizing
Just heard Remembering Shakti a few weeks ago at the U.N. - spectacular. I'm assuming you were referring to Shakti in your description. Your guitar playing is wonderful and not being a guitar player I can only appreciate your fluid, seemingly effortless playing. I will say that to me the first half has more intensity, and with the intriguing soundbed and no distraction from other musical elements your soloing feels more focused and has more, how should I say, inner intensity. The tabla loop is nice for build-up, but the first part is what got me - really mesmerizing! I'm sincerely looking forward to more posts from you.
