Description
Oldish number - (it's been on my Macidol site for a while) but the title's topical, so I thought I'd post it.

Lyrics
It's Wintertime - the ground is frozen
Small birdies starve
The snow falls from above

The handles on my coffee cups are broken
I borrowed some but they're still not good enough

But please come in
Make yourself at home in the old armchair
And warm yourself by the fire

Please come in
Don't leave me alone to face this world
I need your love to help me fly high
To the Sun

It's Wintertime - it's good to have you near me
It's good to feel your heart beat close to mine
Can't get over why you came to see me
Or how we can to finish off that wine

Must have said...Please come in
Make yourself at home in the old armchair
And warm yourself by the fire

Please come in
Don't leave me alone to face this world
I need your love to help me fly high
To the Sun

I'm standing at this crowded railway station
Trying to work some things out in my head
Was there some way to avoid that situation?
Was there something else I could have said?

Like...Please come in
Make yourself at home in the old armchair
And warm yourself by the fire

Please come in
Don't leave me alone to face this world
I need your love to help me fly high
To the Sun

Nice idea......
Hi Feter - spot on - it is a bit untidy in places; you're right about the guitar too, so perhaps I'll give it a go over the holidays. Thanks!

Wonderfully
atmospheric... just love the natural way you perform. the lyrics are terrific and the guitar picking sounds beautiful, while you hold us with that intimate vocal style... just love it.... love it .......and your accent, regards M

Vocal.....
Hi Maurice - glad you liked it - I'm happy with the vocal on this, it creates the right atmosphere for the song......I think I'm going to have to redo the guitars 'though....

BTW - Accent? What accent? :-

Lovely, warm & folky tune. Like the lyric and your singing. You might enjoy my tune, "Wintersong", btw.
