How do you get that sound?
Very smooth, reserved style. Not bright at all. No 'finger'
sounds, no clicks. Is it the way this was recorded? My
guitar always sounds so noisy.

Very nice piece.

How do you get that sound?
The Yamaha AG Stomp has a broad range of preset and user-created sounds.
It also has a particularly nice Chorus Effect. I used one of the Chorus presets
for this piece. The noise threshold of the AG Stomp is not as low as when I
record acoustic guitar with a pair of Neumann KM-184 mics. Those mics are
incredibly quiet. I can't remember if I used fingerpicks to play this piece or
not. I think I didn't. Check out, "Come Out, Come Out Wherever You Are."
That was played on steel-string acoustic with fingerpicks. And you can hear
the "scrapping" sound a bit. But I like to use fingerpicks on some pieces for
the increased volume and sharper attack they give.

just found this page. I am gland I did.
Just ran across this page.
It is nice to hear another fingerpicker!
I love to type while I am hearing your wonderful music.
Nice rhythm. Flows very nice, like that stop too.
This is a very special piece. Good sound and on a
powerbook! Great.

Again i like that fact that you stop and start, nice addition
to the tune. I should do that more.
Wonderful picture too.
High rating for sure!

Thanks

Great Tone
Wow, who would have thought it - Mississippi John on
nylon strings. I have that Vanguard double lp of him that
is just wonderful. People just don't realize there is another
side of the blues from Stevie Ray. I gave you an 8 on this
one.

Great Tone
John Hurt was one of the greats in the more folk blues vein. Lived quietly all
his life in Avalon Mississippi when he got "discovered" in the '60s. He went
on to charm the folk crowd for years after that. His wife said he got into it
just about the time he should have been getting out.
