From Cathedral To The Castle

Description
From Cathedral To The Castle, is about some poor people walking to the Castle and convince the King to give them food.

No loops, all is done using synths, I try my very best using my keyboard.
It's not perfect but I sure had fun doing it… Cheers

Nothing's ever perfect, nor should it be (we are all human after all). But I don't hear any imperfections. I think you achieved what you were going for. An impressive piece of synth magic.

You've
put together some great synth voices here. Very dynamic, gorgeous sweeps/swells and really well mixed too. I like the restrained use of the percussive elements. Impressive work Kenta.

Beautiful Synth work! The beginning expresses a distressing state, which morphs into amazing beauty:) It leaves me to wonder if the poor people in your story where granted their wish(The loud drum at the end that you have in the beginning)...Another beautiful composition masterpeice! :)XOXOXO

I tried my best to have mystery, and feelings that people move towards to Castle sad but filled with hope. I have to say it is not easy but it sure is fun to play-around with the synths.

It's not so many tracks only 15, but the synth I use allow you to have many different noise in same track, and the synth are "Omnisphere" I get it to my 50's birthday okay I had to pay a little from my own pocket too, and I have to say I love it, it came with 6 DVD's so it is a big install and eats lots of memory.

I'm glad you like my mixing, but masterfully? it's a mess but in the same time I guess it can sounds cool as tell a story, and yes who knows it is always a chance a Wakeman is out there and grab stuff, I have thought about it but not so much on my own stuff.

BTW I've finished the ending of this story but I will wait a few more days before I'll post it, it's easy listening not like this, a more delightful piece I think.

Really Engaging
I really enjoyed this. Whilst listening it sent my mind way back to the 70's to an Italian Prog band called PFM and a song called Il banchetto which is also all about people approaching the rich king for food...well I think thats what it said on the sleeve notes...sounds lovely sung in Italian. Thought you might be interested in a listen. Cheers Mark

You are da Man, Kenta!
Or is it Omnisphere making people this good ;-) Whichever, I am pretty sure you need a lot of skill to master the synth, which you have done just beautifully in this song. I like the story too. Looking forward to more in the same general direction. Have a nice (musical) summer!
