Description
Well… this one has been a long, long time coming. It started many months ago when someone visited the company I work for. He was moaning on and on about troubles he was having with business and his life.
Once he'd gone I said jokingly to colleagues that 'I wish he would 'f*** of and take his bad luck with him - before we all catch it'. Everyone seemed to find that funny.
It troubled me though, and I felt very guilty about saying it. That was the basis of my thinking about 'No one wants your bad luck' etc.
I then spent quite a few weeks or maybe months trying other things - but I kept coming back to this theme. Although, after a while it seemed to be more about the plight of the homeless. Once I had written the basic song, I asked my good friend Julian Sims if he would help me with some backing vocals. The sunday he came round he had played football in the morning and had injured his leg very badly. He actually arrived on crutches and effortlessly sang three part harmonies in no time at all. He is a great talent and is always surprising me with his seemingly endless abilities.
I also asked my niece Aisuluu if she would help with a vocal part, I am very grateful to her for the short but vital part she plays in the song.
I hoped against hope that my other good friend Christopher Chaplin would again turn a little song of mine into something. He was very busy with his own projects but agreed. I waited with great anticipation for a few weeks and then there it was, another stunning Christopher Chaplin orchestration.
I must say here that I am very grateful to MJs for giving me the opportunity to meet and become friends with so many wonderful and talented people.
I have also made a video to accompany this and it can be found below.
There is also another video here with me chatting to Barry, one of the homeless people I met. I apologise for swearing a couple of times in it. I will at some stage be posting another chat with Ricky.
Now this is at last finished I can catch up on all the songs I have missed here recently.

Lyrics
Get That Bad Luck Away From Me
Get it Away From Me
Get That Bad Luck Away From Me
Get it Away From Me
You Know I've Had My Share
And I Kept it to Myself
You Must Be Aware
No One Wants to Hear it
Never Doubt I'll Shout
I've Been Down... and Out
No One Needs Your Bad Luck
Get it Away From Here
Nobody Needs Your Bad Luck
Take it Away Disappear
Nobody Needs Your Bad Luck
Get it Away From Me
Nobody Wants Your Bad Luck
Go Away and Make it Disappear
We Don't Want You
We Don't Need You
Get a Job, Lazy Slob
Drug Taker, Booze Beggar
Dirty Stinky, Who to Rob
Not Friendly, Not Easy, No Money
On Your Own
Cold Winters, Street Shivers, Wind Blasters
On Your Own
'Round and 'Round the Streets
Looking Down and Never Up
Lucky People There,
Laughs and Never Meets
Never Doubt I'll Shout
I've Been Down... and Out
No One Needs Your Bad Luck
Get it Away From Here
Nobody Needs Your Bad Luck
Take it Away Disappear
Nobody Wants Your Bad Luck
Get it Away From Me
Nobody Wants Your Bad Luck
Go Away and Make it Disappear
Get it Away From Me
Get That Bad Luck Away From Me
Get it Away From Me
You Know I've Had My Share
And I Kept it to Myself

Too much to take in at one sitting.
I'll be back!
Cheers
