Description
A new take on the Apocalypse.
This is a "demo." This is only a "demo."

I posted a longer version of this years ago. I prefer this edit.

Lyrics
Where will you go? What will you do when they come down? To feed upon the things that make you sweat at night.

I’ve been waiting. I’ve been wanting to travel far. To run across the heavens at the speed of light.

I have told you. I have warned you about their race. But you and all your friends have read the book too long.

Who’s the calm one? Who’s the one that will be free? I will be leaving before the coming dawn.

Take away the sins of the world—carry me away.
But the darkness has unveiled a holy sight—in the night.
But you seem to see what you have always wanted to believe.
And even now you crawl upon your hands and knees, till they bleed, carry you away, till you’re free, for the day.

Travel lightly. You will not be asleep for long. And soon you will be feeling what you’ve never felt.

See the brightness. See the amber of our two suns. Feel free to look as long as time is dealt.

Here I wonder. Here I sit by this river of gold. And now you are being forced the blood to sip.

I am smiling. I am laughing at all of your words. And at this thing that you have called the Apocalypse.

I am living in a world with beings that are known.
To the galaxies and princes of the past, make it last.
And I’m sorry to see you suffer for your simple silly soul.
And eternity will make it hard to last, in the mast, carry you away, till you’re free, for the day.

Machine
The acoustic guitar riff is compelling. Power chords add some punch. Interesting lyrical concept. Might sound good to have drum & bass added into the second half. Good work.

Man Chris - this is great
You have a really good feel for drama and dynamics. Excellent lyrics and delivery - the concept and the open prose go well together. Do you play to a click? Bass and drums kicking in after a while could sound great as Reggie said. Cool track.

Nice!
The richness of the guitar sound in this is cool. Is that an acoustic with gain on it or is it just doubled with an acoustic? Very Pink Floydesque. Nice work! Good use of vocal effects too

Nice demo
To my uneducated ears this is like a Floydish treatment, from the best phase of Floyd.
Cool layers of guitars. I like the singing again. A lot.
