GRAFFITI FEELINGS

Description
Not sure why I wrote this song...I detest graffiti ... they deface the loveliness of our urban scenes. I wish they raise the penalties to deter these people...and they are not kids either...in Vancouver they caught a guy, and he was 35 years old!

Verse 1
How long? … how long pain lingers?
Graffiti feelings so deep,
You controlled me like a prisoner,
Denied me of my sleep.

Verse 2
Five years … I tried to please you,
Your strange ways I justified,
I lit your darkened avenues,
When illusions and dreams collide.

Chorus
When the sun comes up … tomorrow,
I will open all … the blinds,
Paint over graffiti feelings,
That trash me up, tear me up, muddle up my mind.

Verse 3
Tell me … what keeps me hurtin’?
Is it … memories from past?
Defaced … graffiti feelings,
I need to peel off your mask.

Bridge
Graffiti feelings you sprayed them on my wall,
Hurtin’ feelings all,
They’re makin’ me cry and crawl.
Can’t stand those ugly scrawls …

Chorus
F#m
When the sun comes up … tomorrow,
I will open all … the blinds,
Paint over graffiti feelings,
That trash me up, tear me up, muddle up my mind.

Outro
That trash me up, tear me up, muddle up my mind.

GRAFFITI FEELINGS
I like the hook and you develop it well throughout the song. Arpeggio guitar part and strings echo the somber mood of the lyric. Vocals sound good. I think the verse/chorus transition could be a little stronger.

Thanks Dave
Alas Dave I'm way past the stage of my life when/where I can improve...my gnarled fingers refuse to move faster than the mind! Hehehe...so my musicianship is wanting. I really admire the young fellas here...they are so good with their musicality and instrumentation. I am glad the song appealed to you.

Hey are you getting better?
Thanks for the listen man...I believe graffiti has got to do with marking out territories, just like dogs do with lamp-postes and fire hydrants! LOL!

We have to get together for coffee so that I can tell you about the movie project I'm in to!

Graffiti Feelings
Really good song, the verses reminded me of Floyd Comfortably Numb and the chorus was sublime well done
