Cool folk/jazz/rock ambient piece. Great moment when the electric lead kicks in. Really nicely produced, arranged and played.

GREAT pic, btw.

Thank you
Glad you like the riff.

The picture is from a very long time ago. We were playing at a high school spring dance.

Very sweet
Grove is tasty with a variety of cool rhythmic instruments to set the scene. That guitar comes in and the solo section is excellent. I could have listened to another couple of verses as I was loving the vibe.

Nice work, Don. The groove is consistent and the digitized voices work well. Enjoyed. Regards, Peter.

I'm not gonna lie you man. It's just a personal thing, but not crazy about the voice here, but man does the tune itself groove. I could otherwise here this totally JAMMIN at the nightclub.

Thanks for checking out my tune and the feedback. Since I'm not a singer, my music was just instrumental, but I always felt something was missing -- like voice. I tried my hand at digitizing a bit of my own voice in "Didn't Know" -- but I think that came out a little short on expression. So -- enter prerecorded voices -- with some tweaking here and there. My current library of digitized voice choices are pretty limited, though.

misunderstood
this was a pre-recorded voice? I thought the main voice in this was you, but sped up, so it sounded sorta Mickey M. After another listen, I guess that is a female and that's why it sounded so "high" to me at first. In that context, this would still jam at a club. I'd be the first on the floor! ha!

Alvin!
I can see where you're coming from. Actually, I had to use three different voice sources on this, and tried to mix them so it sounded like a group doing the background vocals and one female lead. I frankly can't stand Alvin and the Chipmunks singing, either.

You had from the first 10 seconds. Very cool groove. Clever use of digitised voice - how did you do that? Love the guitar parts. you build the piece very well - lots of new things happen. Glad I finally caught up with it!

Spring and voice
Hi Phillip -- Since you wouldn't want to hear me sing live, I mainly use snippets of other people's digital voices and sometimes modify them a bit using Garage Band. Also do that with my own voice occasionally. Although, the title and photo don't have much in common with the type of music I use to play when the photo was taken, both spring and the photo were an inspiration for creating this short experiment.

Graham,
Pleased that you liked my tone weaving with lead guitar. It's been almost a year since this post, with only a little action -- so very glad to see you found it, and liked it.
