the "reformed"
part of my comment was meant as a bit of humor.... anyone laughing? Apparently I am... ;-)

Funny, Dadai.2
Theological humor -- an oxymoron? Good try, though. Thanks for the kind words, D.

Jazzy Old St Nicholas...
I always enjoy your jazz takes on classics. this is no exception. The balance is nice and clean, (although I'm not picking up any of the bass on the speakers of my MacBook - only when I listen on the headphones.)Very festive, yet laid back. (You must be done with your Winter holiday concerts.)

Thanks
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Jarvoid, not sure what 'cock it up' means. Not sure I wanna know! :-)

Kristy, yes, all done with school programs for December. Feels good. Now on to the kids' Christmas play tomorrow -- once that's done, then I can really relax (for a little while). I'm sure you've had a busy season too.

Tobin, you're the first one to correctly identify the "SGB" changes on the intro and the interludes. That circle-of-fifths pattern sure does make for some interesting improv options. Similar pattern on "I Got Rhythm" in the third phrase. Thanks for stopping in, T.

I always love the sound of a piano trio floating through a light swing. Always reminds me of the classic Bill Evans trio. Sweet post John!

I heard Sweet Georgia Brown.
Nice, free wheeling bit of tickling. Thanks, John.

nice track but
On a technical note there sounds like there is a bit of distortion (an over) on the right channel right at the 2:47 mark. It's just that one hit and it may be my playback.Half a dB down at that mark may fix it.
Nice playing and good mix overall.

Belated Christmas Wishes
Quite the trio! Your touch and timing on the keyboard puts me right in the groove. The bass is on the money too - understated but solid, and the drum package is really great sounding. I'll have to look into DOD a bit more. The star though is the piano. Love that ending!!

Cheers John,
Doug
