Description
Here's a song popularized in the 1930s by that great singing group, The Ink Spots. I thought I'd try a little of the chorus filter to make it worse (I toyed with the idea of running this backward however). Never have sung this one before (it sounds like it!) so I may go back to it later in the year, if I'm still around.
Speaking of the year, thanks to all for the fine music here in 2011. Let's hope the coming year will be a much better one for everybody (yeah, I know, that entails Michael Rennie landing a flying saucer on the White House lawn at this point, but ya know--we can dream can't we?) I also wish this year that hiss I'm getting will go back where it came from, ugh!
Thanks again,
Michael
Artwork: Movie fans will get the connection, the rest of you will have to stay up, tossing and roiling around in bed nights wondering I guess!
PS: Please pardon the occasional lip-smacking sounds. Normally I deplore those things but I was eating a meatball submarine sandwich at the time I recorded this. Thank you!

Nice backing - is that Mr McPike again? The bass is very groovy. The guitar playing those Freddy Green style jazz chords is excellent. Very unusual instrument comes in around 1.40 or so. Is that a duck? :-) Nice trumpet lazily coming in here and there. And of course, a vocal style that is perfect for the song. Downloaded, with thanks!
