Playin In A War Zone

Description
This piece is dedicated to all those that bring or have brought their guitar to a combat zone.

But mainly it's for any musician that has been in difficult environments or will be in a situation were by bringing their beloved instrument, can make their life more pleasant in a very unpleasant situation. I know I kept my sanity by having my guitar by me in some very hard times.

Another great one
Your creativity astounds me. How do you keep coming up
with song after song? There's never anything wrong with
your playing but on the production side I think it could
have used a little more bass prescence on the eq.
Although you could make the argument that sense it is
such a happy sound that the treble is what needs
accentuating and not the bass. This makes me think of a
mountain river cascading down on a beautiful sunny day.

Always fascinates me
There is such a "close" feel to this song. The soundspace
is somewhere right in front of my eyes. Great playing as
usual. The overall volume is rather low, though.

To: Alimar

Good point about the volume, I was not aware of it but it doesn't surprise me
that it might of been low. Sound engineering is my cross to bear:) I try my
best. I think working with my 8 track is more challenging than just plugging
into my USB 122 interface. I get a louder sound with the 122 interface. But I
can plug more things in the 8 track mixer. So I opted to sacrifice a little
sound until I somewhat master the 8 track.

Thanks for the compliment.

Very nice
...pacing, fingerpicking, as always!
Every song you write seems has such a delightful fluency
and style to it. This is no different.
I heard echoes of Pachabel's Canon there in there, too.
Nice touch.

Very nice
Thanks "Mystified" for stopping by.
It is easy when you receive inspiration. I love to work off inspiration.
When we did those songs together I was very inspired by your wonderful
voice and harmonization.

Thanks for posting!

Good luck

Nice runs, fluent
Your guitar has a warmer tone in this recording, less
bright and roomy than the last couple of posts, although
the level is low.

I like this tune. How do you keep cranking these out?

Just when it hit's me. It is hard to say when that happens.

But thanks, I am glad you liked the sound. I was off to an angle a bit more.
But that may be due to the fact that my computer room is kinda small.

Thanks

Thanks
Thanks bronco

i love the critiques because it makes me better. I know
that I'm a bit better player than a musical engineer. But I
try the best I can. I will try to kick up the bass a bit on the
next one.

As far as how do I keep coming up with stuff. I think I like
to work off of a novel sounds and just see were it leads
me. Maybe I'll hear whole song that is astounding and
just from the feel of the whole tune maybe get an idea.

Or a takooff on a riff I might have done before that can
lead into a whole other direction etc.

Thanks so much for posting!

Thanks!
For the comments you made about my songs. They are
greatly appreciated. I went to check out who was making
the comments only to find you are one of the most highly
rated composer/musicians on the site. I checked out this
song first and now I know why! Sounds great! Makes
want to dig through my archives to see if I can find a
potential collab. Thanks again!
