I fell in love with the mountains and scenery of Utah last year on a vacation. It was so hard to leave.

I love the mountains theyre so beautiful
I taste the air its my favorite food
My soul feels free it has run away
I cant believe its my favorite day

You wont see me again cause ill be gone
you wont hear me again this is my last song

I fell in love once again
you came from above
now youre my friend
I cant forget what youve done for me,
Life is a challenge its worth while

I like all of your music. You have a great talent. This is a
great song and the simple acoustic arrangement sounds
great. The two guitar parts play off of each other so
nicely. Great lyrics and singing. The vocals are a little
buried under guitar at the very begining. Great job. Only
nitpick; it cuts off abruptly at the end before the sound
fades out.

What a voice!
Your voice is absolutely wonderful in the chorus. I love the melody. I hope it's not your last song.

I think it's hard to get away with songs that are simply
joyful without sounding like a sap; but you do that by
keeping it simple.

Let me preface this
by saying I am a fan of yours. But maybe it's the old
reporter in me that feels compelled to offer some advice. I
can still hear my editors, after reading my scripts, warning
me about using cliches and hackneyed phrases. I think to
a certain, perhaps lesser extent, the same is true for
lyrics. "Life is a challenge" "The mountains they're so
beautiful" etc. Sounds a little worn. Fortuantely, your
tunes are so fresh, and your voice so engaging, they make
even old lines seem new. But think what the possibilities
would be if your lyrics had the same power?

Wonderful personal folk anthem
Yes, a straightforward and well performed folk piece. I
agree with atwood1956's lyrics assessment, however, I
like that it is a combination of a potential love song and
an anthem to the mountains, creating double meanings
that are interesting. But a couple of things: the lack of a
rhyme at the end of verse 2, after setting up such a rigid
pattern; and the use of phrases like "My soul feels" that
are more narrative then first person expressions... such an
intimate song might be better served with more intimate
and unique reactions and details. Still, a wonderful piece.

I agree...
...with atwood on the lyrics, but otherwise think this is a
good song. Your voice is just so mesmorising! I love it! It
always gets to me (in a very good way).
