Carol of the Bells

 Genre: Holiday

This is my favorite holiday tune, so I thought I'd give it the full-on moody, crunchy electric guitar mud treatment.

Everything is really rough. I'm still unpacking and trying to put the new house together after the move, so my "studio" isn't really set-up. The mix is pretty iffy. I did it through a combination of headphones, computer speakers and studio monitors that haven't been properly setup. Plus, I'm still suffering form a month-long cold and my voice is even more iffy than usual.

Still, I hope you enjoy and maybe by early 2014 I'll have everything set up and be back in full swing.

Hey Joe!
Quite a different treatment than I'm accustomed to hearing, which is greatly appreciated--I thought this was a very cool track and it's very striking in it's mood and flavor (more so than if you had one a "regular" version of this one). Considering your current deficits with the equipment, you did a fine job mixing this (believe me, I've been working on instrumentals for months now and they all come out all blobby and mishmashy and I've got all my equipment set up--so I envy you there!) Thanks for sharing this one for the holidays. Hope you are settling in nicely (always rough) and that you find some time this Christmas to relax and have fun. Take care now! Michael

Like the treatment you give this
Wow Joe, with all of those elements of life stacked against you this is terrific! Would have been even if you hadn't mentioned your move and cold. Like your guitar work in the break (very prog) and the vocals/harmony work well for me. Dloaded, and better late than never.
