This is a sit-com I wrote for the BBC. It was recorded at the BBC Radio Theatre and then broadcast on BBC Radio 2.

The info on the art-work above:

"Dominated by his devious mother and held back by his depressed sister, cancer consultant Jacob is a Jewish workaholic whose only contact with the outside world is through his patients and his self-assured colleague, Ben. Julian Sims's comedy is the last of seven one-off sitcoms."

Sheila Steafel as Eva
Gareth Marks as Jacob
Dorian Lough as Ben
Doon Mackichan as Barbara

With - Charlotte Jones, Glen Davis, Anthony Dunn, Emma Kennedy & Kacey Ainsworth

Produced by Victoria Pile

Congratulations Julian
not only for writing a very humorous play but for getting it produced well and broadcast. An enjoyable half hour. I missed a couple of the jokes but found myself laughing out loud a couple of times. Yes, bizarre and a little cruel but very well done. A man of many talents.

I just
love this kind of humour Julian.....so well written, clever and entertaining....the speed and the repartee is wonderful, almost waspish....and so well acted. Hope you get a series off this or a TV show, cheers M

Lovely BBC radio vibe. Congrats, Julian. Smart, sharp and funny. Most of the classic English stereotypes get a run. Or are they stereotypes...? Enjoyed. Thanks.

Has a real retro feel to it. I was reminded of The Goons, and even Carry On!! Very funny. The interplay with Mother was particularly nasty.
