Lyrics
Life In A Car

red light, green light, it’s stop and go
sometimes you’re going fast sometimes slow
all you want to do is just get home

life in a car
with the radio on
life in a car

road weary, power steering, radio on
every morning hearing the same old songs
a open road where nothing will go wrong

life in a car
with the radio on
life in a car

backseat plain Jane always complains
to hot, to cold, drives me insane
plain Jane says we’re going the wrong way

life in a car
with the radio on
life in a car

Impactful Mix
That jangle is HUGE. You've got several FLAVORS of jangle going on there. This is all a big guitar ear candy special...

To my ears, on my headphones, all of the guitars can be separated out and heard clearly, but they also hit like a wall o' guitar...

The solos are terrific...

I think you did a nice job on the vocals, and the layout of the song is catchy and infectious.

on my last post you had mentioned you would like to hear someting jangly and acoustic guitars. several weeks later that got me to thinking that it has been quite awhile... so here it is. :)

when I decided to do a jangly song, the riffs came about fast, actually the whole song. some open strings always works well to get that sound.

I was thinking early beatles and the byrds as a model to work from. a modeled 12 string electric that my guitar synth has is on the right side. fender telecaster is on the left. both of those were played very clean. and a fender strat for the lead guitar solos and and little bits.

Jangly
Love the 12 sound, and the rest of the guitar parts - musically, everything seems to gel just right.
The lyrics are simple and effective - nothing like picking a well-known scene and describing it in under 100 words - who can't relate? The simple chorus is something that has always eluded me, but you nailed it in this Vic.
I like it.
Cheers from Oz,

when i decided to do the jangle route. i sat down one evening, quickly came up with the whole song, including most of the lyrics. that kinda restricted overthinking the lyrics. the next day i recorded all the guitars and bass. however it took a few weeks to get around to recording the vocals and a mix.

Petty meets Byrds!
Great classic jangle. Tasty lead licks with just the right amount of reverb. Nice lyrics too...

Bravo!

Great tune Vic. This is well composed/recorded fun and as always a guitar treat. Thanks for sharing your inspiration and talent.
