Description
I normally don't do Blues pieces, but because I've sensed there are a good number of Blues fans here on Macjams, I thought I'd try a bluesy number to see if I could attract some more folks to take a listen. However, per usual, I start out in one direction and then morph into another. Please let me know if this works for you.

Thank you, KC. Now that I'm retired, hopefully I'll be able to spend a little more time on keeping the new tunes coming.

Blues Demo
NIce tone on the throaty lead guitar. Ya warmed up a couple of cliche progressions here and it all sound very laid back and sweet. Thanks for posting. Perhaps this should be a challenge or something? The folks here used to to that kinda stuff. The bar is kinda higher now lol...
Thanks for posting really enjoyed your playing.

Blues
Thanks, Daug! Yes, I didn't move from a standard progression in the second half. Not my normal thing, but I was hoping to trigger some nostalgia among the group, and then go a bit further with some extra interplay among the instruments.

I woke up this mornin'
nice guitar, especially like the introduction of the new sounding guitar (dobro/koto) at around 1:25.

Glad you liked the dobro in the background. I added it later on to give some fill in to the longer chords and riffs. It took some fiddling with the volume among several guitar tracks.

Tasty guitar!
It develops a real live ambience about half way through.

I wondered about 6 minutes being a bit long then realised it had passed without me even thinking about it.

Nice one.

Cheers

Amazing feel to this.
A striking tone and a real good feel to it, this is particularly amazing from someone who doesn't make blues tunes most of the time. It sounds like it is from someone who oozes out blues from morning till night every day of the year, and has been doing it for decades. Super slick.

Blues
Thanks so much for the endorsement! I've listened to a lot of blues, so I tried to copy the types of progressions I've heard other use.

Staccato accentuating legato - i mean the other way around -/ / hitting the notes in between the notes none-repetition makes for savory irony . . . you must be speaking between the Lines - declarative it is . . . it is your territory and you are territorial
